Josh Gracin

Who says South Ogden days are lame? I had the time of my life tonight at the Josh Gracin concert! He was so good lookin and we were right up close to the stage. All his bandies were way cute too! I loved his music and his cute down-to-earth happiness he had going on. He was a super great showman. The encore was amazing, all the bandies came out one by one and starting playing, all the sudden Josh starts singing but he was no where to be seen. He was hidden in his little gray hat in the middle of the crowd!! He came up slowly right up the middle, where we were. I touched Josh Gracin! Yeah thats right. His beautiful, strong sexy shoulder in his black cotton tee!! I rubbed it a little. :) He was beautiful. His songs were so amazing! Stay with me! Best song of the night. One of his bandies, Brad, was the one I was crushin on! He was super cute and I have a really good photo of him on my phone! I need to figure out how to get it on the computer then I'll post it. But anyway after the concert was over Kari and I and the fam were just sittin there watching the fireworks and I saw Brad walk by us. I yelled at Kari to come with me and we ran after him! Haha. A group stopped him and Kari, brave girl, went right up to him and asked if she could have a hug. He hugged her then turned to me and said, "She wants a hug too, but she's too scared to ask." He looked at me and said, "Don't be scared." And then he hugged me! And not like a super lame side hug but a full on face to face hug and it was good! He was beautiful also. Love him. I get to go to Lake Powell tomorrow morning. How much better can life get? :)

My First Race

Tonight I ran my first race all the way, without stopping! I was a 5k, which may not seem like a lot to some of you but it was for me. I have never ran a 5k, running the whole time, without pausing or stopping once! Well that is until tonight! I was so proud of myself, even though I would have liked to have gone faster. My time was 38:02. I ran with my support group Maryann and Kourtney. They were so encouraging and without them I probably would have gone a lot slower. I kept a steady pace the whole time and felt really good afterwards. I want to run more races and improve my time! It gets me excited to have something that makes you feel so accomplished after you're finished! I was so nervous to run it. :) I wanted to do well and feel like I ran my hardest. It was hard because so many people kept passing me at the beginning and it just made me feel so much slower. I'm glad I finished though and can say I've now actually ran an entire 5k! Next time will be so much faster though! I'm excited!

Mallory and Shanae

Saturday evening around 5pm I was feeling pretty bored watching tv when someone rang the doorbell. I was surprised to see it was my favorite friends who live down the street. Mallory, who is 9, and Shanae, who is 11. They rode up on their red scooter and said they wanted to come visit me. I knew them first from the piano studio where I work. We had a fun night, riding their scooter up and down the sidewalk. We went shopping at Old Navy with Erin to buy something for her date that night, and Mallory and Shanae were sure to keep me away from the scarfs! Turns out they didn't think Erin's date was cute at all, and they told me his hands were sweating because he "probably has never been on a date with someone as cute as Erin." Then they wanted to see my house so we went inside and ate watermelon. I showed them my messy room and they took turns playing my guitar and trying on my shoes. While we were sitting there we heard the icecream truck just in front of my house! I didn't even know those things existed anymore. Mallory chased him down while I yelled, "I have money, hurry catch him!" We each got an ice cream. Cord and Haydn took a break from playing basketball and wanted some too. I asked them to be my models because they are all adorable children. We took some pictures and they each wanted a turn to take one. Shanae tells me she wants to be a photographer when she grows up! They showed me their tricks on their trampoline and made me climb into their treehouse. I felt refreshed to know I had someone who thought I was pretty cool. Mallory and Shanae asked why I wasn't on a date, they said, "You're a really cute girl." Kids are so honest and straightforward. They aren't afraid to tell you what they really think. They live so simply and happily. A night full of watermelon, ice cream, shopping, riding on the scooter, running from house to house, playing soccer in the backyard and much more was all I really needed to lift my spirits. It could be a little embarassing to say that this is how a 20 yr old girl spends her time on Saturday night but I had the time of my life. They wanted to follow me and do what ever I was doing and that makes a person feel pretty good inside. Thanks girls!
